  • How do I place an order online?
    Our product line includes Gift Cakes (nationwide shipping) and Special Event Cakes (local delivery only). From the E-SHOP menu, select "GIFT CAKES" to view all items available for nationwide shipping. On the product page, you will be prompted to select your preferred ship date up to 30 days in advance. The ship date you select will be added to all items in your cart. After adding the items you are interested in to your cart, you can check your selection, modify it and proceed directly with the purchase. To complete your order, simply indicate the shipping address and choose a payment method. All orders ship with expedited shipping and arrive within 1-2 days of your selected ship date. If you would like to place an order for a custom cake, please select "SPECIAL EVENT CAKES" from the E-SHOP menu, fill out the form with your details and we will be in touch within 1-3 days.
  • Payment options and taxes
    At this time, we accept payments through major credit cards and Paypal. Patisserie of the Pacific uses the most advanced security systems to protect its payment data, guaranteeing the absolute security of all transactions. The prices charged will be those published on this website and shown in the cart at the time of your order confirmation. Prices will be indicated exclusively in Dollars (US) and the total amount of the order will include, where applicable, taxes and shipping costs, the amount of which will be indicated separately.
  • Order Confirmation
    An order confirmation email will be sent to the e-mail address you provided at checkout. You will then receive one more email on the day of shipment with your tracking information.
  • Delivery time
    Orders are shipped out every Tuesday and arrive in 1-2 days. You may select your preferred ship date up to 30 days in advance. Order cutoffs for the upcoming week are on Sunday at 12 noon (PST). You will receive an email confirmation with tracking information when your order has shipped. Orders with a final destination in California typically arrive within 1 day. Orders shipping outside California arrive within 2 days. If your cake is arriving a few days earlier than you wish to eat it, please store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.   • What if I want the cake for a special event on the weekend?

  • Cancellations or modification of order
    Orders canceled within 24 hours may qualify for cancellation. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your options. Unfortunately we are not able to cancel orders after 24 hours or more due to production procedures. Please note that we may not be able to change your shipping address once your order has been placed, but we will do our best.   • How do I order a custom cake?
    At this time, custom cakes are only available to customers within Los Angeles, Long Beach and Orange County, CA. Custom cake orders are accepted through the ordering form on our SPECIAL EVENT CAKES page. Please fill in your details and we will be in touch within 1-3 days. Once we have discussed the details, we will send you an online invoice. Your order is confirmed only when the invoice has been paid in full. Payments are due 10 days prior to your cake delivery date. If ordering within the 10-day window, we will do our best to accommodate and incorporate your order into our baking and production schedule.
  • What kind of cakes do you make?
    We specialize in simple cakes made with quality, organic ingredients and focus on a unique flavor. Our signature collection includes flavors such as Cardamom, Saffron, Black Sesame and Fleur de Sel Flourless Chocolate. We offer specialty seasonal flavors throughout the year depending on availability. We would love to work with you to develop new flavor profiles and an elegant presentation for your special event.
  • Can I pick up a cake anytime?
    Patisserie of the Pacific is a custom-order based micro bakery operating out of a commercial kitchen. Unfortunately there is no storefront to accommodate walk-ins at this time. On occasion, last-minute cakes are possible, however, options will be limited to ingredients we already have on hand. We typically ask that you order 7-10 days in advance. A tight baking and production schedule allows us to stay on top of things and to deliver beautiful, delicious cakes for your celebrations.
  • Local Delivery
    Local delivery is available within Los Angeles, Long Beach and Orange County. The delivery fee is calculated based on distance traveled.
  • How do you recommend I transport a cake?
    Place your boxed cake on a flat surface, typically in front or behind the passenger seat, or in the trunk of your car. If traveling for more than an hour or two, a cooler with ice packs is recommended. Running A/C in your car also helps. Limit your sudden stops, starts and sharp turns. Try not to place the cake box on the seats as the cake won't sit flat and may slide off the board. Use your best judgement if holding the box on your lap.
  • How do I best serve my cake?
    Allow the cake to come to room temperature. It's best to avoid letting the cake sit in heat or full sun, however, the cake can sit out comfortably for a few hours in climate-controlled cool spaces. We include cake cutting guides for larger cakes. To ensure beautiful even slices and sharp edges, we recommend using a large knife and wiping it clean after every cut. Consider also dunking the knife in hot water between cuts.
  • How should I store my cake? Does it have to be kept in the fridge?
    If you're planning on consuming the cake soon after delivery, it can be stored at room temperature for a few hours in a cool, climate-controlled space until ready to be served. If you're saving the cake for an event at a later day/time, we recommend storing your uncut cake in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Let us know if this is the case prior to delivery and we can prepare your cake box for refrigerator storage. Once cut, place leftovers in an airtight container to prevent them from drying out. Slices can also be frozen for later snacks.
  • Limited liability clause
    While we take our responsibilities very seriously, some situations and circumstances are beyond our control which will not hold Patisserie of the Pacific liable. These include, but are not limited to: inclement weather, traffic accidents, wildfires, other acts of a Higher Power. In case of delivery, after the cake is handed over, the care and protection of the cake becomes your responsibility. We advise that you keep the cake cool and away from direct sunlight to prevent softening and melting. Please refer to our transportation tips to ensure a safe journey.
  • Can you ship to my location?
    We ship US nationwide, except US Territories, overseas military addresses, and P.O. Boxes. At this time, we are unable to offer international shipping.
  • What are the shipping costs?
    Our shipping costs are calculated at checkout and vary based on your delivery destination.
  • When will I get my tracking information?
    Tracking information is sent to you via email on the day of your shipment. Orders are shipped out as late in the day as possible to lessen the time in transit to you.
  • Can I specify a delivery window?
    You can select your preferred ship date up to 30 days in advance. We ship on Tuesdays and all orders arrive within 1-2 days. Orders with a delivery destination within California normally arrive within 1 day, and orders outside California arrive within 2 days of shipment. If your cake is arriving a few days earlier than you plan to consume it, it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee a specific delivery time on the day your order is expected, however, most deliveries typically arrive before 8pm on your scheduled delivery date.
  • How do I store my items and what's the shelf life?
    Cakes can be stored in the fridge for 5 days. Remove cake from the fridge 1 hour before serving.
  • Do you offer pickup or local delivery?
    At this time, we only offer local delivery for Special Event Cake orders within Los Angeles, Long Beach and Orange County. Unfortunately there is no pickup option.
  • Refund
    Due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot accept any returns or exchanges, however, your satisfaction is very important to us. If you are unhappy with the product or service, please reach out to us at info@patisserieofthepacific.com.
